Details & Eligibility of State Level National Talent Search Exam N.T.S.E. 2014:
It is hereby notified that the State Level National Talent Search (1st level) Examination for class X will be conducted on 17-11-2013 (Sunday) from 10.00 AM to 01.00 PM in Telugu/ Hindi/ Urdu and English media at all the Head quarters of 23 Districts in the State. The students who are studying X Class during the current academic year i.e., 2013-2014 in any recognized school in Andhra Pradesh including Kendriya Vidyalayas and schools affiliated to I.C.S.E. & C.B.S.E., New Delhi are only eligible to appear for the above said Examination. The candidates those who are selected for NTSE scholarships in VIII class are not eligible to appear for the Test. The students who have selected for NMMS scholarships and studying X class now may also eligible for N.T.S Examination but such candidates have to forego the further NMMS scholarships, if he/she are selected in NTSE

- The NTSE Exam will be conducted in Two stages:
- The 1st Level NTSE State Level contains of Mental Ability Test for 50 marks
- Language Comprehensive Test for 40 marks (Telugu!Urdu/English)
- Aptitude Test for 90 marks comprising Social sciences, Sciences and Mathematics.
- All Questions in the form of Multiple Choice containing 4 choices.
- The 2nd Level Exam (Stage II examination) at the National level will comprise of (a) Mental Ability Test (MAT), (b) Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).
FEE DATES AND FEE PAYMENT FOR NTSE 2014 EXAMINATION
- Last Date for Submission of Applications to Head Masters = 31st Aug 2013
- Last Date of Submission of Applications to DEOs by HMs = 2nd Sep 2013
- States and Union Territories may notify the fee notify the fee notify the fee required which will be paid for the Stage-I examination. Therefore, before submitting the application form, you may find out the fees charged for Stage-I Examination and also the mode of payment from the respective State Liaison Officers (LOs). However, NCERT does not charge any fee does not charge any fee does not charge any fee for Stage-II examination.
- The Examination Fee is Rs.100 per candidate
- The Fee is to be paid in the form of Demand Draft through SBI/SBH in favor of "THE SECRETARY TO THE COMMISSIONER OF GOVERNMENT EXAMINATIONS, AP, Hyd".
- The filled in application along with the DD should be submitted to the concerned Head Master, and will be forwarded to DEO Office of the concerned district.
- Attested Copy of Certificate in case of SC/ST/PH should be enclosed.
MORE DETAILS ON NTSE:
1. From 2012, the National Talent Search Examination is conducted for 10th Class Studying Students Only.
2. On the basis of the National Talent S Scholarships: earch Examination, 1000 scholarships will be awarded. The amount of scholarship will be Rs.500/- per month.
3. Reservation: 15% scholarships will be reserved for students belonging to the SC category, 7.5% scholarships for students belonging to the ST category and 3% for Physically Challenged Group of Students.
4. Selection: There will be two-stage selection process for award of scholarship. For Stage- I, selection will be done by States/UTs through a written examination. Students, who qualify Stage- I, will be eligible to appear for Stage-II examination, conducted by NCERT.
